Privacy policy
This policy explains how Square Study handles information when you use the app, this website, or contact support. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
Information we use
- Account information: if you create an account, your email address, account identifier, and authentication information are handled by our account service, Supabase.
- Practice progress: completed sessions may include the practice type, opening and side played, scores, hints, duration, and completion date. Guest progress is stored on your device. Signed-in progress is stored on your device and synced to our database.
- Subscriptions: Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription records. RevenueCat receives your app account identifier and subscription information needed to determine Pro access. Apple handles payment details; Square Study does not receive your full payment-card information.
- Support: we receive the email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send us.
- Technical information: our hosting, authentication, and purchase providers may process network and device information, including IP addresses and operational logs, to deliver and secure their services.
Why we use it
We use this information to create and secure accounts, save and sync progress, provide and restore subscription access, respond to requests, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, RevenueCat for subscription access, Apple for App Store purchases, and Cloudflare to host and protect this website. These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect our users and services.
Advertising and website cookies
The current app implementation does not include an advertising SDK. If advertising is added, this policy and the app’s disclosures will be updated to describe the provider, information used, and available choices before that release. An active Pro subscription is intended to remove advertisements while subscribed.
This website does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or marketing cookies. Cloudflare may process technical information and use security mechanisms needed to serve and protect the site.
Storage and retention
We retain account and progress information while needed to provide the service and handle your requests. You can request account and associated progress deletion by contacting support. Some transaction, security, or backup records may be retained where needed for legal obligations, fraud prevention, or service recovery. Deleting the app removes its local storage but does not by itself delete your cloud account or cancel an Apple subscription.
Your choices and requests
You can practice without creating an account, sign out, and contact support to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information. We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting on a request. Privacy rights vary by location. Contact us to exercise rights that apply to you.
Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscriptions. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions.
Security and international processing
We use access controls and service-provider safeguards to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Our providers may process information outside your country under their applicable safeguards.
Children
Please do not submit personal information on behalf of a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact support so we can investigate and address it.
